Workplace English Program: Basics

Participate in this 21-week class and advance your skills.

Ideal candidates are highly motivated non-native English speakers with an basic level of proficiency in spoken English and a desire to improve their reading and writing skills.

Classes will focus on language acquisition of task-related duties and common expressions used in the workplace.

Those selected for this highly competitive program will be required to attend two 60-minute classes per week. Classes will be held at UCLA and up to three hours of paid release time will be given each week to accommodate class and travel time. There will be a one-week mid-program break.

Supervisor and instructor assessments will be part of the application process.
